ROMA (Italy) - Miami is a party capital of Florida 365 days a year, and you can expect the New Years Eve 2016 in Miami celebrations to be bigger and better than ever with visitors from all over the U.S and beyond coming the Sunshine state to welcome in the New Year.

If you plan on visiting Miami Florida for NYE and haven’t made firm plans yet, now’s definitely the time because everything books up fast including hotels and resort galas. From upscale lavish events to come as you are bashes, Miami delivers.

The city of Miami Florida Beach hosts a free New Years Eve celebration every year including a spectacular fireworks display. Locals and visitors alike gather on the beach near 8th Street and Ocean Drive to watch the show and make merry. The Bayfront Park Amphitheater will also be presenting a free event featuring live performances by a variety of great bands, followed by a countdown to midnight and the dropping of the “Big Orange” from atop the InterContinental Miami hotel, then by fireworks; this is a fantastic, family friendly celebration, especially if your children are old enough to stay up until midnight (at least this once).

The City of Miami Beach closes off Ocean Drive for New Years Eve every year. So if you want to bar hop and have drinks while you wait for the midnight fireworks, Ocean Drive is a fun, free option. Free insofar as it costing nothing to stroll the street. You will still pay jacked-up New Years prices for dinner and drinks. Still, the prices aren’t near how much clubs will be charging for drinks, and the restaurants are still far less than the traditional Prix Fixe options at some of our higher-end eateries. And at midnight you can just cross the street to watch fireworks over the ocean.

For the adults, Lummus Park in South Beach throws a NYE party on the beach from 9:00pm to 2:00am including live music and their own fireworks at midnight. Another great place to ring in the New Year is Mansion Nightclub, one of Miami’s trendiest clubs. For moms and dads with young children between the ages of 4 and 12, Miami Beach’s Fontainebleau Hotel Resort will be presenting a special way for the little ones to celebrate New Years Eve 2016 in Miami between 6:00pm to 1:00am. The Neon Glow Celebration will include fun arts and crafts stations, Wii and XBox stations, dinner, movies, music and festive party favors. This event is open to hotel guests and local residents.

- If you’re here with your family or a group of friends and you’re looking for a free and entertaining way to celebrate the New Year, Miami’s got you covered with parties downtown in Bayfront Park and in South Beach.

- Ring in the New Year with Mr.305 and Florida ambassador himself, Pitbull, at Bayfront Park. Pitbull’s New Year’s Eve Revolution 2015 is from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and include a dance party, fireworks and a countdown to midnight with Pitbull as the “The Big Orange” ascends to the top of the adjacent InterContinental Miami hotel.

- Looking to celebrate on South Beach? Join the City of Miami Beach New Year's Eve Celebration, and party on the beach at 9th Street and Ocean Drive. Enjoy free fireworks at midnight.

- Party to the tunes of Robin Schultz, Dave Sol and Marcos Noel as you welcome 2016 at the 3rd Annual Five Star New Year's Eve party. The event begins at 10 p.m., but party the night (and morning) away until 5 a.m. Your ticket includes a premium New Year’s Eve cocktail dinner, live entertainment and fireworks show, a selection of high-end drinks, including vodka, champagne and whisky, breakfast and more.

New Year's Eve is easily the most anticipated event of the year. What better way to end the year than with a massive party that includes your friends and family? This year in Miami, try opting for an experience that you won't forget and skipping the run-of-the-mill experience that will find you cooped up in a crowded nightclub, bar, or lounge.

With DJs spinning the best in Top 40, four hours of open bar, hand passed appetizers, there isn't really much that's missing from this event. To top things off, you'll be taking in the best views that the city has to offer from the outside in, including Biscayne Bay, South Beach, Bayfront park, the orange drop, fireworks show, and the stunning downtown Miami Skyline. Get your tickets while you still can because this is one event that you won't want to miss.

A lot of Miami’s best restaurants will be hosting their own New Years Eve celebrations with varied menus, entertainment and champagne toasts. If you plan ahead, you can get early seating, typically at 7 pm which is the ideal time if you are attending a different party later in the evening. If you plan on spending the entire evening in one place, consider booking reservations for around 9:00PM at a restaurant or other venue that is providing festivities throughout the evening. If your vision of the perfect New Years Eve celebration includes something “A Listers” would appreciate you might want to spend the evening at Acqualina’s beachfront restaurant. (miaminews.org)
